Arrive in Barca d’Alva, a peaceful riverside village near the Spanish border, surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Douro International Natural Park. Once an important railway connection between Portugal and Spain, the village is now best known for its tranquil setting and impressive views of the Douro and Águeda river gorges, which form a natural border between the two countries. Overnight on board in Barca d’Alva.

Enjoy a scenic morning cruise through the Douro Valley, taking in its beautiful terraced vineyards and river landscapes. Around midday, return to Pinhão before continuing to Régua in the afternoon.
