After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel for the half-day sightseeing tour. See Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Athens Academy, the University, the National Library, and the Hadrian’s Arch. Pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus and pass by the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. 

On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era, the museum of Acropolis. At the end of the tour, drop off at the hotel or at the city center. The remainder of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Today,  travel to Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, arrive in Delphi and visit the Archaeological Site.

After the visit depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages and towns of Central Greece. Dinner and overnight. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight in Delphi hotel.

Today, visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between sky and earth on top huge rocks.

Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument), arrive in Athens early in the evening.

Or you may join an optional saronic cruise tour with lunch(US$198/p). Transfer to the port and embark on the full day cruise to the 3 saronic islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra. Lunch is included and served on board. At each island, get off the boat to discover each islands own individual character. Aegina: The largest of the saronic islands, famous for pistachio nuts. Poros: a pretty island with chance for shopping. Hydra – an artist’s delight, again with boutiques, shops and cafes dotted around the harbour. On the return journey back to the port of Athens, enjoy the onboard entertainment program.

Today, you will fly from Athens to Luxor. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Luxor.

This morning you may join the optional Luxor Hot Air Balloon (US$200/person). Start your balloon ride in the sky of the biggest open-air museum Luxor. Or you may join the optional visit to the Luxor Museum (US$78/person, Min. 2 guests), home to remarkable ancient Egyptian artifacts, royal treasures, and fascinating stories from Thebes’ glorious past.

Today you will visit the Luxor Temple to admire the colossal statues of the great pharaoh Ramses II. And visit the magnificent Temples of Karnak, dating back over 3,000 years. Walk along the avenue of the Sphinxes and marvel at the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive sandstone columns.

In the afternoon, transfer to the port for Nile River cruise embarkation. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on board.

Breakfast on board, then enjoy the shore excursion to visit the UNESCO listed Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of Thebes and admire the tombs of ancient Egypt’s rulers. Conclude the tour at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep II.

Breakfast on board, this morning, you may join the optional tour of Abu Simbel temples by bus (US$180/person). An early morning bus ride from Aswan transports you back in time to the mighty Temple of Abu Simbel. This site is dominated by the looming twin temples of Ramesses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. It is one of the most recognizable ancient sites of Egypt. 

In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Aswan High Dam, an engineering miracle when originally constructed in the 1960s.
